Henfield Medical Centre
Henfield Medical Practice has 6 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GP and 1 Practice Manager
We are a training and dispensing practice operating from two sites, the main surgery at Henfield and a branch surgery at Partridge Green. The practice area is mainly rural and has a growing population due to local development. We offer a range of primary care services.
We operate from well equipped, purpose built premises. Woodlawn Surgery is our branch surgery located in Partridge Green, approximately 3 miles north of Henfield. However the branch surgery is currently closed due to Covid-19.
We employ a team of nurses, including an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and a Nurse Practitioner as well as Health Care Assistants offering phlebotomy and health clinics.
We also work closely with the Community Nurses, Health Visitors and Midwives.
The Clinical staff are supported by a team of ancillary staff.
The practice uses SystmOne Clinical Software and is an electronic paper-light surgery.
The Practice consistently achieves high on the Quality and Outcomes Framework, and is committed to running Enhanced Services offered by Coastal West Sussex CCG and the full range of Locally Commissioned Services.
We have an active patient participation group who have helped build a good relationship between the surgery and patients. The PPG produce a six monthly newsletter and help patient education by arranging regular consultant talks. The PPG also help to raise funds for a local trust set up to assist with the purchase of equipment for the surgery.
COVID-19 Vaccination
Covid Vaccination update 23.02.21
We would like to inform all patients that we are currently inviting all those in priority group 5 (aged 65 - 69) and priority group 6.
Those of you in group 5 will have received a letter from the Government encouraging you to attend a mass vaccination site, however we would like to reassure you that you can chose to attend Henfield Medical Centre.
Those of you who are unsure if you are in priority group 6 please click HERE and see pages 10 and 11.
Both groups 5 and 6 will be contacted very soon to invite you for your vaccine by either telephone call or text message. If you receive a text message from a mobile number ending in 921, it is from us and is NOT a scam.

When will I get my jab?
Sussex Health and Care Partnership have launched a public campaign this week called ‘When will I get my jab?’ to help people know when and where they will get their vaccination.
The roll-out of the programme is complex and can be confusing so they are aiming to provide simple and easy to understand messages.

Warning over COVID vaccination scams
Be on your guard against fraudulent text and email messages as new scams are being sent to patients.
People are receiving a text or email notification of their ‘vaccination appointment’ and are being asked to confirm it by clicking on a link.
This looks very similar to the genuine texts being sent to patients to arrange their appointments at the GP led vaccination services.
Please follow the advice below.
- The COVID-19 vaccination is ONLY available from the NHS and it is FREE – you will never be asked to pay for it or give your bank details.
- If you receive a call you believe to be fraudulent, hang up.
- If you receive a text or email that you believe to be fraudulent please delete it. Please be assured that if you don’t respond because you are worried and it is a genuine text or email, you will remain on the vaccination list and be contacted again
- If you believe you have been the victim of fraud or identity theft you should report this directly to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040. Where the victim is vulnerable, report it to Sussex Police online or by calling 101.
If you receive a text message from a number ending in 921, it is us, it is NOT a scam.
A few changes have been made to the way Henfield Medical Centre runs.
Firstly, please only come in to the medical centre for pre-booked appointments or collecting medication, we really don't want you standing out in the cold. However, in return we request that you do not enter the surgery if you have symptoms or have had a positive Covid-19 test in the last 10 days.
A one way system is in place, please do not exit the building the way you came in.
To open the exit, hover your hand over the sensor until the ring goes green then push the door to open.

I'm really pleased to be introducing you to the Belltree online resources, which are available here free of charge on our website thanks to the generous support of the arts council covid19 emergency response fund. We know from research that music lights up the whole brain and that everyone has an inbuilt ability to respond to music regardless of age illness or disability.
These videos offer a wide range of ideas and guided activities for making music at home on your own or in your bubbles and there's no need for you to have any prior musical experience.
We can't offer music therapy in video format as it centers around a therapeutic relationship but these videos offer a mixture of proactive and passive musical activities to support your social and communication skills, positive relationships, self-care and good mental health. We really hope you find them useful and enjoyable.

Appetito - Meals on Wheels

Appetito will provide a flexible service of cooked meals that will be delivered hot to you door by their DBS drivers.
The drivers will conduct a safe and well-being check when delivering the food to ensure all is okay.
The cost of a two-course meal is £5.75 for customers on a care package or who are 65+ with a short- or long-term medical condition otherwise its £6.90. For an extra £1 customers can receive a third course.
They can also provide a teatime pack which includes a sandwich, cake and piece of fruit which is delivered with their hot meal and costs £3.40.
Available 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Horsham Wellbeing Alcohol service
This is a free virtual support service for anyone living or working in West Sussex that have been identified by a health professional to be drinking at an increased high level or the individual believes their drinking is at a problematic level.
