  Swine Flu Vaccine
We will not be running clinics any more, but at risk patients can
just book in with the practice nurse by appointment.

The eligible groups are slightly different from seasonal flu -
the main difference being that healthy OVER 65 people with no
disease that makes them at risk are not eligible for the swine flu
vaccination since they appear to have some natural immunity
to the virus. Otherwise the priority groups are:

People aged over 6 months and under 65 years who are in the     usual seasonal flu at risk groups because of a clinical condition -     see seasonal flu information.

2  Pregnant Women.

3  Household contacts of people with compromised immune
systems, eg people in close contact with patients on treatment
    for cancer.

4   People aged over 65 who are in the usual seasonal flu clinical
at risk groups because of a clinical condition - see seasonal flu
     information.

5   Children age 6 months to under 5 years

* At risk Groups:
If you have, or are receiving treatment for:
Pneumonia, lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease,
liver disease, immunosuppression

Please note patients who are immunosuppressed will require a second vaccination 3 weeks after the first.

We will be posting information updates on this site and at the
surgery as it becomes available so please keep checking for more
information
